The McLaren base will be expanded again.

      The McLaren Technology Centre in Woking opened in 2004 and has been expanded several times, most notably in 2012 with the opening of the manufacturing center. Recently, the municipal council approved two applications for another expansion of the Technology Centre. The plan includes the construction of a large testing stand and a new electrical substation with backup power. The submitted application states that the expansion of the center will allow for "the continued operation and growth of a high-tech enterprise of national significance."
