Cadillac announced when they plan to earn points.

Cadillac's debut in Formula 1 exceeded many expectations. The team's cars proved not only to be fast enough to confidently surpass the 107% barrier of the best time in the first qualifying session but also to compete with rivals on the track.

The head of the Cadillac program in Formula 1, Dan Tauris, highly praised the initial steps in Formula 1 and mentioned the timeframe in which the team plans to earn its first points.

Dan Tauris: "When it comes to short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals, I believe we are moving in the right direction. Moreover, we are achieving our short-term goals ahead of schedule. It is now important not to lose this momentum and to maintain the course we have set for the next few years.

Long-term ambitions in Formula 1 are a story of incredible scale. Everything has to be done simultaneously – building infrastructure, forming a team, searching for specialists, establishing internal processes, logistics of car components and equipment across continents, and race logistics around the world. A huge number of elements must work as a single mechanism. I am truly pleased with how everything is gradually starting to come together into a cohesive picture.

We have many plans, but such things do not happen instantly, especially when you have to start practically from scratch. Everything takes time, but we are inspired by what we are trying to build.

Before the start of the season, there were many expectations, preparations, and a feeling that we could surprise. However, in Melbourne, as soon as the starting lights went out, all the romance evaporated. Formula 1 is an incredibly tough environment where no one gives anyone any breaks. Therefore, for us, there is only one word now – progress.

Every day we must become better. In Formula 1, there is no time to relax and enjoy successes. The question is always the same: how to make the team stronger?

It is already clear how organically the team has integrated into Formula 1 and what respect we have earned in the paddock thanks to our results. I think we have truly exceeded many expectations.

To those who prematurely labeled us as underdogs, I can say that they have a poor understanding of what Formula 1 is. The results our team has achieved in such a short time are impressive.

Everyone knows how difficult this sport is. We are talking about the pinnacle of motorsport. We have already built a very solid foundation, and now the main thing is to continue to develop and ensure that the pace of progress remains as high as possible.

Last year in Silverstone, the race took place in the rain, everything was chaotic, and it was then that the value of experience became particularly evident. At that moment, I realized that the team needed drivers who understand how everything should work. Both Sergio and Valtteri possess that kind of experience. They know how to stay calm and patiently work together with the team.

Patience in Formula 1 is not passivity, but the ability to sense the moment – when to attack and when to give the team time to develop, without losing internal demands. Both drivers have this sense very well developed. That is what I particularly value in them.

We expect to start consistently fighting for points after the summer break. This is not an attempt to make a loud statement – we simply have a very ambitious team.

When I talk to Sergio or Valtteri, I hear only one thing – we need to step it up. How else can we find speed? How can we extract more from the car? How can we continue to progress?

If a person is satisfied with the current state of affairs, then they are not on the same path as us. That is the kind of approach I need. Work at Cadillac does not stop for a minute. Let's see where all this leads."
