Hülkenberg: In Canada, we need to gradually build confidence.
Audi F1, the new factory team of the championship, is preparing for the Canadian Grand Prix with the mindset to perform better this weekend than at the previous stage and to take advantage of all opportunities that may arise in the two races at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.
Alan McNish, Racing Director: "The Canadian stage is always very interesting, although this weekend will have its own challenges. This track does not forgive mistakes, and it is important to act as clearly and focused as possible from the very first session.
We had difficulties in Miami, but we understood that in our first season, this is inevitable at some stages of the championship. We need to make improvements in several areas and work effectively throughout the race weekend if we want to fully demonstrate our potential and achieve higher speeds.
Sprint stages require even more careful preparation; we need to minimize time losses and make the most of every lap of the single Friday practice."
Nico Hülkenberg: "The stage in Montreal is always great, and we are happy to be back here. The Canadian track has a rich history, and the special atmosphere in the city and at the circuit makes this weekend very interesting.
After Miami, it is most important for us to quickly readjust and try to work as clearly as possible throughout the Canadian Grand Prix. We know we can do it, but a lot will depend on how effectively we work from the very beginning of the weekend until its end.
At sprint stages, there is always more hustle, so it is important to build confidence from the first day of the weekend and gradually move forward."
Gabriel Bortoleto: "I am looking forward to returning to Canada. Races in Montreal are usually interesting and always accompanied by a special atmosphere, which is felt both on the track and in the city, and this stage is loved by both drivers and fans.
Since I raced at this track last year, I know how important it is to feel comfortable behind the wheel right away. The task is now complicated by the fact that the weekend program includes a sprint. Our goal is to bring everything together and work more clearly than at the previous stage of the season, and for that, it is necessary to use all track time as effectively as possible."
