A new chapter at Ferrari is set to begin as the brand founded by Enzo prepares to launch its first electric vehicle.
A prototype of the Ferrari Luce was recently seen cruising the streets of Maranello, still heavily camouflaged, though showcasing some new details compared to earlier spy shots. This raises the question of whether this electric vehicle will embrace retro design cues or will serve as a fresh start for a new era.

The camouflage seems to be effective, but the low front end has a line that appears to extend around to the front fenders. There are some intriguing hints of Ferrari F40 design on those front fenders, although this could very well be a result of the camouflage. The headlights seem to be positioned low within the bumper, just below the LED daytime running lights. If you look closely, the design of the front lower bumper’s air intakes somewhat resembles that of the F40 as well. Am I imagining things, or is something else at play here?

The side profile is uncertain because the team has done an excellent job with the camouflage. The front is low, the side mirrors are sizable, and the outline of the four doors is visible. However, the rear profile is completely obscured. Are those round LED taillights? The rear diffuser is quite large, leaving us unsure if it's practical or purely for aesthetics. The wheels aren’t intended for production, but they suggest that the Luce will feature large wheels wrapped in thick tires.
Take a look through the gallery and let us know in the comments what you observe and can interpret. The electric Ferrari is almost here, and perhaps its exterior will echo the retro vibe of the interior.
