Kolapinto: We are capable of maintaining the current level.
In the last stage in Miami, Franco Colapinto achieved the best result of his career, finishing seventh. The Alpine driver hopes to perform at the same level at the Canadian Grand Prix.
Franco Colapinto: "We are trying to move forward step by step, race by race. In Miami, everything went very well for us from the very beginning. Moreover, it was a sprint weekend, although I hadn't raced on that track before.
Throughout the weekend, we continued to improve, but the most important thing was that we were competitive from the very first session. This turned out to be really important because in previous stages we hadn't managed to hit the right working range of settings right away, which made the weekend much harder.
I am confident that we can maintain this level. But, of course, we still need to understand where we stand relative to other teams and how effective the updates from our closest competitors will be. Right now is the time of the season when everyone is actively refining their cars and bringing something new to almost every race.
Let's see how everything unfolds this weekend. I hope the Canadian track will also suit our car well."
