Nico Hülkenberg: The risk was worth it, but it didn't pay off.

The stage in Canada became the fourth in a row where Audi drivers did not earn points – Nico Hülkenberg finished twelfth, and Gabriel Bortoleto thirteenth. Both drivers started on intermediate tires and acknowledged that it was a wrong decision.

Nico Hülkenberg (12th): "A tough race for us. Looking back, we can say that the conditions at the start were not what we expected. Given the information we had, the risk was worth it, but the first laps did not go in our favor, and we found ourselves chasing quite early on.

After that, we didn’t have the pace to recover. The competitors quickly pulled ahead, so we have a lot to think about and improve.

Overall, the weekend was challenging, and we have much to analyze. We will carefully study the data, draw conclusions, and prepare for the stage in Monaco."

Gabriel Bortoleto (13th): "The race turned out to be long for us. We started on intermediate tires because we thought that decision would pay off, but the rain stopped quite quickly, and we found ourselves in a disadvantageous position.

An additional pit stop took us out of the fight, and after that, I was driving on an empty track, focusing on my own pace.

However, there were positive moments today – we finished with two cars and gathered important information for the team. Now we need to focus on the next stage in Monaco."
