Franz Tost: “Right now, Aston Martin is not in the best shape, and there are several factors at play. One of the key issues is the problems with the power unit. Honda built a less than optimal engine that is not performing as they expected, but I know the Japanese and I am convinced that they will solve the problem by next year at the latest.
Additionally, Adrian Newey joined the team too late. Given the scale of the project to develop a new car under changing regulations, he had very little time. It is clear that there is also work to be done there, but if Adrian stays healthy, he will build a worthy car by 2027. I am completely confident in this.
