On June 3, a traditional football match will take place in Monaco.
Next Wednesday, the star motorsport team Nazionale Piloti will once again take to the field at the Louis II Stadium in Monaco for a match against the local club Barbagiua & Stars, which typically features professional football players and representatives from the entertainment industry.
As always, the motorsport team will include former drivers who have already retired from their careers, as well as those currently competing in various international championships starting from Formula 1, along with representatives from F2, F3, and other series.
As usual, the match will also serve a charitable purpose, with all proceeds going to the humanitarian organization Mercy Ships, which provides medical services to the population of Africa aboard floating hospitals, and the French association Les Soins de L’Espoir, which helps vulnerable populations in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.
If the participants in the match have any sporting objectives, they are, of course, quite conditional, as such events are primarily aimed at creating an atmosphere of unity, shared joy, and generosity. And if someone dazzles with their exquisite ball control, it will certainly only enhance the friendly match.
As stated in a message on the official page of the Barbagiua & Stars club, the match is meant to remind us that "sport can be a powerful force that brings hope and fosters change."
It is already known that the team of drivers will include Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly, as well as Luke Browning and Oliver Goethe, who compete in Formula 2.
