Lindblad received a warning for blocking Piastri.
The congestion on the narrow winding track in Monaco and its associated consequences always become one of the defining features of this weekend. One of those who impeded an opponent during the first Friday practice was Racing Bulls driver Arvid Lindblad. The stewards, after analyzing all the available information and hearing from Arvid, Oscar Piastri, and representatives from their teams, decided that Lindblad did indeed create an obstruction on the track, which affected the performance of the McLaren driver. It turned out that Lindblad's engineer had incorrectly informed his driver, telling him over the radio that Piastri had aborted his lap, while in fact, the McLaren car remained on the track. The stewards took into account that there was no clear fault on the part of the driver, considered it a mitigating circumstance, and limited themselves to a formal warning.
