Elbon: Because of the problem, I was wasting time on the direct ones.

Finishing eighth, Alex Albon scored points for Williams in Monaco. His teammate Carlos Sainz retired due to an accident on the restart...

Alex Albon (8th): "Overall, it was a challenging day, but I'm happy to earn some points. At the start of the race, we were fast, but from the 15th lap, there was an energy distribution issue that we couldn't resolve. We tried to work together to create a gap for me and Carlos, but it made us vulnerable in terms of track position.

I was trying to defend against Lindblad's attack, but I couldn't keep him behind as I was losing time on the straights due to this issue.

The race was chaotic, with red flags and a restart, but in the end, I believe this is my cleanest race weekend of the year. We'll analyze everything, work on the simulator, and continue the fight in Barcelona next weekend."

Carlos Sainz (retirement): "Before the restart, I was in control and driving at a good pace. Unfortunately, I was hit by another car and couldn't continue the fight – it's always disappointing when that happens. The team worked hard and made progress with the car, but today I lost points. I'll try to earn them in Barcelona next week."
