Khajar: I wasn't confident that I would be able to make a comeback.

Isaac Hajar finished third in Monaco and stepped onto the podium for the first time with Red Bull Racing. However, the French driver may still lose his third place as the stewards are considering a possible violation under the red flags.

Max Verstappen retired on the first lap due to power unit issues.

Isaac Hajar (3rd): "I had a clean start and controlled the race, but already from the tenth to the fifteenth lap, I had huge problems with acceleration on the straights. If there's a track where you need that the least, it's Monaco. It was incredibly difficult to drive the next sixty laps in that mode.

At the restart, I just didn't have the power, and I lost two positions. I've never had to push so much out of the car in the corners.

Considering that the weekend started with a crash in the first practice, this is an outstanding result. I wasn't confident that I could recover, but we did."

Max Verstappen (retirement): "Even on the warm-up lap, everything was not going well. After that, terrible things happened before the start, the engine was unstable, and then it just died.

To some extent, the power returned after the first corner, but even then the sound of the engine was truly terrifying. I couldn't give full throttle, so we decided to return to the pits, that's it.

The next weekend will be the race in Barcelona, which is a completely different type of track, so we'll see if we can take the next step forward, especially since there, effective aerodynamic performance at high speeds will be the most important. I hope we have an interesting weekend there."
