Newey hopes to gain two seconds on his rivals.
Aston Martin has abandoned the policy of constant car updates, deciding to present the second version right away – the AMR26B with new aerodynamics and an improved power unit. While the first version of the car was developed by Aston Martin two months later than its competitors, Adrian Newey had time for the development of the second version.
Work on the new version of the car is currently being completed at the team's base in Silverstone, and many parts have already been sent to production.
Rumor has it that Adrian Newey hopes to gain two seconds on his competitors, meaning reaching the level of the leaders. The team has not yet specified exact timelines, but it is currently expected to be around mid-July – the new models should be ready for the Belgian Grand Prix.
