Renault denies discussions with Horner and promises to maintain control.

      "We are evaluating the possibilities."

Renault Group CEO Francois Provost has sought to put an end to rumors connecting Christian Horner with Alpine, while also affirming that the French company does not plan to give up control of its Formula 1 team. These remarks come amid ongoing ambiguity regarding the future of Otro Capital’s 24 percent ownership stake in Alpine. Mercedes recently considered acquiring that stake, but discussions seem to have stalled, reportedly due to Renault and Otro not accepting the proposed valuation. Horner’s name has frequently been mentioned in relation to this situation. However, Provost informed the Press Association, "There is no discussion today with Christian." He also confirmed that negotiations with Mercedes are no longer advancing. "I noticed there are no further discussions at this point," Provost stated. "I was not pleased to see that we are not making any headway." Despite the uncertainty concerning Otro’s stake, Provost emphasized that Renault is firmly in control of the team and intends to maintain that position. "We are evaluating the possibilities," he said. "I want the Renault Group to retain control of our team, regardless of who might succeed Otro." Provost also aimed to reassure Alpine staff and supporters that the ownership conversations are not impacting the operation of the Formula 1 team. "Firstly, this Otro issue does not affect us as a team at all because we are in control," he stated. "Secondly, we will maintain control of our Formula 1 team."
