Charles Leclerc: Rivals are a bit ahead of us.

On Friday in Barcelona, three drivers were behind the wheel of a Ferrari. Charles Leclerc completed both practice sessions, while Dino Beganovic replaced Lewis Hamilton in the first one. While Charles Leclerc was satisfied with the updates prepared for this stage, the seven-time champion mentioned that missing the first session meant he had to make up for lost time.

Charles Leclerc (4th): "It was an interesting day. We had several updates that allowed us to make a step forward. When it comes to competitiveness, it's still early to draw conclusions, but I think the competitors are a bit ahead of us. We need to focus on getting the most out of the car we currently have. Let's see what we can do tomorrow."

Lewis Hamilton (9th): "My only practice session today was quite challenging. There were issues with the front wing, which made things even more difficult, especially in preparing the tires for a fast lap. Missing the first practice session put me in a position of catching up. There is still a lot of work to do, but we have already gathered useful information, and now we will try to improve before tomorrow."

Dino Beganovic (8th in the first session): "I am very pleased with how today's practice went for me. Both the car and the power unit are completely new to me, so the main task in the first part of the session was to get accustomed and gradually build up pace. I immediately felt a big difference after switching from the scrubbed Medium tires to the Softs and really enjoyed the final series of laps on that compound. I am happy with the progress made during the session. This experience is very valuable for me and will definitely help in the future. I want to thank Ferrari for their support. It’s always a pleasure to get behind the wheel of a car from this team and work with their specialists. I hope to have the opportunity to do so again soon."
