Hülkenberg: This is the most unusual crash of my life.

Gabriel Bortoleto (11th): "It wasn't the easiest race. I lost a few places at the start, then there was an incident with Ocon – our cars touched while we were side by side, and mine sustained quite serious damage that I had to deal with until the end of the race.
But there are positive moments as well. We once again demonstrated a high pace in all sessions. It's encouraging to see that we were fast on two completely different tracks. I hope we can build on this success in Spielberg."
Nico Hülkenberg (retirement): "This is the most unusual retirement of my life. Liam slightly went off in Turn 12, and several stones flew out of the gravel trap. Some hit my car and apparently activated the emergency switch. Everything shut down instantly, and that was the end of my race.
Of course, it's very frustrating. I could have earned points. Throughout the weekend, we showed a high pace, and after yesterday's qualifying, we had a real chance to achieve a good result. Unfortunately, we leave empty-handed, but the fact is that this time we were just unlucky."
