Turo, often compared to Airbnb but for vehicles, is running an entertaining promotion where select Italian car rentals are just $23 per day this weekend. The campaign is called “Turo Takes Italy to the Game.” Since Italy isn’t actually competing in the World Cup, Turo is playfully bringing the country into the conversation with this promotion.

According to Turo: “Starting June 17 at midnight ET, Turo will offer ‘Italy’s Starting XI’ dream car lineup for booking on a first-come, first-served basis in 11 cities: Atlanta, Boston, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver. Only one car per city will be available for rentals from June 19 at 10 am local time to June 22 at 10 am local time.”

You can view the selection available on Turo's rental page. A quick tip: the Turo app performs significantly better than the website, so if you’re eager to secure a rental, I recommend using the app. Additionally, some Chase credit cards currently have cash-back offers where you receive a small statement credit after booking a Turo vehicle with your Chase card, so check to see if that’s activated on your bank account if it’s relevant to you.

Turo showcased several Italian cars by transporting them on a barge in the Seattle harbor.

More information from the peer-to-peer car rental service:

“The event highlights Italy’s cultural impact, craftsmanship, and passion, which have established the country as a global icon in sports and automotive design. To engage fans and further represent Italy during the games, Turo is launching ‘Italy’s Starting XI’ lineup. This collection features 11 unique Italian cars, including an exotic Lamborghini, a classic Ferrari, and renowned Fiats, available in 11 U.S. and Canadian cities hosting the tournament. Each car can be rented through Turo for just $23 per day (before taxes and fees) in celebration of the tournament’s 23rd edition.”

Regardless of your interest in soccer, those who manage to take advantage of this offer in time will score an exceptional deal. However, the selection is a bit uneven—the Seattle market gets a Ferrari 458 Italia while Atlanta is limited to a Fiat 500L. It seems the Lamborghini Huracan Evo in Miami has already been booked, but you may still have a chance to secure one of the other cars available.
