Jeremy Clarkson reported that he has recovered.
Recently, fans of the popular series "Clarkson's Farm" learned the alarming news that Jeremy Clarkson, the well-known British television presenter, has been diagnosed with cancer, and we reported on this.
In his time, he became famous as one of the creators of such iconic automotive shows as Top Gear and Grand Tour, after which he turned to farming on his own farm and began to narrate the successes and failures in this new venture in a very entertaining and humorous way.
But perhaps his greatest success came in a completely different area: just a few days after Clarkson shared the story of his illness, he announced that his fears were mostly behind him.
In today's interview with the Sunday Times, Jeremy confirmed that two months ago, during a routine examination, no signs of prostate cancer were found, and his condition is clearly improving:
"Without a doubt, I am the luckiest person in the world – this is an official statement. I had an aggressive form of cancer; it could have spread, it could have gone to the pancreas and anywhere else, and then real trouble would have started..."
Also, on his social media pages, Clarkson shared a video in which he literally says: "As you can see, I am not dead. The reason I am doing well is that the doctors detected prostate cancer at an early stage, and they were able to do this precisely because I was undergoing examinations."
In the mentioned interview with the Sunday newspaper, he added: "I try to maintain a positive attitude. I decided to be among the 60% of patients who will not have a recurrence. So to everyone reading this, I must say: please, please – get screened!.. I did it, and that’s why now, 11 months later, I am sitting here addressing you..."
Jeremy Clarkson is a big fan of Formula 1 and has appeared at the British Grand Prix almost every year. After today's statements, there is little doubt that in two weeks we will see him again in Silverstone.
