Red Bull believes that Zolov is ready for Formula 1.
The Spanish edition Soy Motor, citing its sources, reports that Red Bull believes Nikola Zolov is ready to debut in Formula 1. In 2026, the Bulgarian driver will have his debut season in Formula 2 with Campos Racing. Nikola has already achieved three victories and is in second place in the individual standings, just six points behind leader Gabriele Mini. Zolov's performances this year have impressed Red Bull management so much that they have already made a principled decision to move the Bulgarian driver to Formula 1 in 2027. No papers have been signed yet, but it is expected that Zolov will debut with Racing Bulls. It has not yet been decided who Nikola will replace, Liam Lawson or Arvid Lindblad. Everything will depend on Max Verstappen's decision. If the four-time world champion decides to stay with Red Bull Racing, it is most likely that Liam Lawson will make way for Zolov. If Verstappen decides to leave, Red Bull will have more options for choosing the lineup of its two teams. Official representatives of Red Bull and the driver have not commented on the publication in Soy Motor.
