The desire for speed appears to persist at any age, even at 85. Recently, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office stopped a Nissan Z driver for allegedly speeding at 110 mph in a 45 mph zone, but that’s not the whole story. The driver was also accused of racing a Chevy Corvette on the highway.

As reported by WKMG News 6, the Nissan driver refutes the street-racing claim; however, he was arrested and charged with “engaging in a vehicle race and dangerous excessive speeding.”

“I wasn’t street racing,” Bosworth allegedly told the deputy, according to Fox 35 Orlando. The officer replied: “Well, you might not label it street racing; you might refer to it as highway racing or road racing. Whatever you want to call it … what you’re doing is not acceptable here in Lake County.”

The Corvette driver was reportedly stopped separately and is only 57 years old. He also denies the street-racing allegations, arguing that his car, a 1998 model, isn’t capable of reaching such speeds, but he was ultimately arrested. Both drivers were later released after posting bail.

The Drive intentionally does not disclose the identities of those involved in these traffic incidents. However, the reports mentioned may refer to them.
