Paul Monaghan will leave Red Bull Racing.
Red Bull Racing's Chief Engineer Paul Monaghan will leave the team after 21 years of collaboration. He received offers from several teams, including Aston Martin, but chose Cadillac, where he will take on a leadership position in the technical department.
The date of his departure has not yet been announced. According to RacingNews365, Monaghan continues to hold the position of Chief Engineer at Red Bull Racing, and the formal exit process has not yet begun. After leaving, he will have a mandatory vacation, so he will not take up his new position at Cadillac until at least the fall of 2027.
Monaghan began his career in Formula 1 in 1990 with McLaren, working in research and development before becoming a data engineer for David Coulthard.
In 2000, he moved to the Renault base in Enstone, where he became the race engineer for Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso. Then there was a brief period at Jordan, and in 2005 he joined Red Bull, where he spent the most successful part of his Formula 1 career.
