Qualification
Winning the qualification in Spielberg, George Russell secured his 11th career pole and fourth of the season, matching his achievement from 2024 when he also had four poles.
With 256 poles, Mercedes engines are now tied with Ferrari engines at the top of the overall ranking.

Race
Winning the Austrian Grand Prix, George Russell achieved his seventh career victory and second of the season. He now has as many wins in Formula 1 as Rene Arnoux and Juan Pablo Montoya. This is the 138th victory for the Mercedes team, the 245th for Mercedes engines, and the 328th for British drivers.
Max Verstappen's second place is his best result of the season. This is the 299th podium in the history of Red Bull Racing and the second of the season. Verstappen surpassed the 3500 career points milestone.
Finishing third, Kimi Antonelli extended his podium streak to seven in all Grands Prix he has finished this season. This is the tenth podium in the young Italian's career.
