Gabriel Bortoleto: We did everything we could

In Spielberg, Audi drivers once again did not score points, although they finished close to the top ten...

Gabriel Bortoleto (11th): "We did everything we could. I overtook the Alpine driver ahead of me, maintained a decent pace for most of the race, but couldn't earn points – this weekend the Racing Bulls cars were faster than us. Moreover, the race went on without any retirements ahead, no chaos like in previous Grands Prix.

We made the most of what we had. We showed good pace in qualifying, the updates worked. We just need to catch up with those who were faster today, then everything will work out. I hope we will look better in Silverstone."

Nico Hülkenberg (12th): "It was not easy to make significant progress in the race. We tried to create an advantage by extending the first stint, but many were able to overtake us, so things didn't go as we hoped. Looking back, I realize that an earlier pit stop could have increased our chances, but it's always easy to say that after the finish.

A positive aspect was the good race pace. We could overtake, sometimes even had a speed advantage over our closest rivals, but starting so far back makes it hard to achieve a good result.

We will use this experience in Silverstone. There, we have a completely different track, which I have always liked. I hope we will be in better shape next weekend."
