Sainz: I want to help Williams turn the situation around.
On Thursday in Silverstone, Carlos Sainz was once again asked about a possible team change, and he replied that it's not the time for that right now...
Carlos Sainz: "Right now, I'm not thinking about a move. We have a lot of work at Williams, and there's simply no time for anything else. I've asked my managers to leave me alone until the summer break so that I can try to help Williams improve the situation as much as possible. During the summer break, there will be time to think about this and consider possible options.
I'm trying to work with James Vowles and all the interested parties to understand the reasons, to figure out where and why things started to go wrong as we expected.
We've analyzed everything and drawn conclusions. But it's not just about that. It's important to understand how we will move forward, how quickly these changes will yield results, and how decisively we will act to turn the situation around.
I'm trying, relying on common sense and my experience, to help the team understand which aspect and area we need to approach more decisively. There is so much information that there's simply no time left for anything else. We are fully focused on the work."
