Bortoleto scored points for Audi for the second time this season.

Gabriel Bortoleto finished eighth in Silverstone, allowing Audi to earn points for the second time this season. The factory team now has six points and has partially secured ninth place in the Constructors' Championship from Aston Martin. Nico Hülkenberg still has no points to his name. Today, the German driver retired due to gearbox issues. Gabriel Bortoleto (8th): "I am really happy with the result; the team fully deserves it after several races without scoring points. It's tough to see the potential of the car and not bring it to reality, so today's result means a lot to us. Today, the team finally showed our true pace. Eighth place reflects our capabilities at the moment. The weekend was long. I nearly dropped out of contention in the first part of qualifying, and if that had happened, starting from a lower position today would have resulted in a different outcome. The team did a great job putting everything together, finding the optimal setup, and achieving results in qualifying and the race. I am very happy for everyone working at our bases in Hinwil and Neuburg. Everyone put in maximum effort, and the result proves the progress we have made in working with the car." Nico Hülkenberg (retirement): "This weekend tested our character, and it ended in disappointment. From the very start, nothing was going right. Even on the out-laps to the grid, it felt like something was off. The grip at the start didn't work as it should have – this area needs our attention. In the race, I initially had to attack while in dirty air, and then I had a small spin that complicated tire management. Then there were gearbox issues that forced me to retire. The positive outcome is that Gabriel scored points. A strong result for him and the team, showing our potential when everything comes together. The competition is very tight, and although at times we were close to scoring points, we didn't always capitalize on the opportunities. In our sport, the situation can change quickly, so I am confident that luck will be on our side. We just need to keep working, stay focused, and move the team forward."
