Paddock Tour: Explore the Team Motorhomes for the 2026 F1 Season

The top car news and reviews, no nonsense.
If local campgrounds spark competition among RV owners trying to outshine each other, then the Formula 1 paddock serves as the ultimate arena for those who take pride in their extravagant mobile accommodations. If you think slideouts are impressive, wait until you see three-story motorhomes boasting designer interiors, custom furniture, and enough technology to rival a billionaire’s estate.
Welcome to the F1 scene, where it takes more than just spending hundreds of millions on developing, maintaining, and racing two cars worldwide; you must do it all with flair. Most of these setups range from 2,000 to over 3,000 square feet and require anywhere from 12 to over 24 hours to assemble and disassemble before and after a grand prix.

I captured a photo of each mobile headquarters while walking around the paddock at Silverstone this weekend. Although these units made their debut in Monaco two races ago, some configurations differ here due to the extra space compared to the tight streets of the city. Ferrari has two enormous units that easily overshadow any other arrangement, while Cadillac’s and McLaren’s setups are also substantial and quite beautiful. These will be used exclusively during the European leg of the season, which wraps up in Azerbaijan at the end of September.
Which one do you prefer?
Red Bull Racing & VCARB
The extensive, warehouse-style travel trailer of the Red Bull empire may lack architectural finesse, but the interior reflects what you’d anticipate from a Red Bull facility: contemporary, edgy, and vibrant.

Ferrari
Sleek, red, and makes a bold impression.
Audi
Resembles a tank—or its new Nuvolari supercar. You decide.

Somewhat cool, somewhat ordinary. Quite warm (inside).

Williams F1
I appreciate its simplicity. Quite straightforward, much like James Vowles.

FIA & F1
Both the governing body of F1 and its commercial rights holder need a workspace and a place to host guests. Not too shabby.
