Fernando Alonso will miss the first practice in Spa.

      Fernando Alonso will not participate in the first free practice session of the Belgian Grand Prix. Instead, third driver of the British team, Jack Crawford, will take the wheel of the AMR26.

      For Jack, this will be his third participation in free practice this season. Earlier in 2026, Crawford already replaced Alonso at the race in Japan and Lance Stroll in Austria at Spielberg.

      According to the regulations, each team is required to provide a car to a driver with less than two Grand Prix starts four times during the season. Each of the main drivers must give up their seat twice. Thus, this will be Alonso's last missed first practice, and he will not be replaced again for the rest of the season.
