Charles Leclerc: Everything is turning out as we expected.

      Charles Leclerc qualified fifth in Spa, but due to Lando Norris's penalty, he starts from the second row. The Ferrari driver stated that the car's speed in Belgium fully meets the team's expectations. Lewis Hamilton qualified sixth and agreed with his teammate that Ferrari is losing to competitors on the straights due to a lack of engine power. Charles Leclerc (5th): "Unfortunately, that's the reality. The balance of power on this track is more in line with expectations than in Silverstone. The weekend in Silverstone was more of an exception, while in Spa everything is shaping up as we anticipated. I am a bit disappointed with my last lap, as there were yellow flags, apparently at the entrance to the pit lane. But I saw them clearly enough. It probably cost me one position. Of course, that lap wasn't fantastic, and the half-second gap wouldn't have disappeared, but gaining one position was quite realistic. I think our deficit is related to a lack of power – in this aspect, the competitors have the advantage. We are strong in areas where traction matters, but we struggle where engine power is important. However, today the competitors were fast in the corners as well, so they have a very good car. We need to focus on performances at specific tracks and make the most of what we have." Lewis Hamilton (6th): "The guys did a great job restoring my car after the incident in free practice. In the third practice, the car was excellent, and I felt very confident, but I don't think we could have fought for pole today, as the competitors are very strong. But with such a car, I believe third place was possible, just missing a couple of tenths. In qualifying, the car was still different from what it was in practice, but I did everything I could. I think we lose the most in the last sector, where engine power is important. We expected Mercedes to be very, very fast on this track. It seems that in qualifying they have an even more noticeable advantage over the others. But I think that in the race we can move forward. We will do everything possible and try to catch up with them."
