McLaren revealed technical innovations for Hungary.

      The McLaren team will bring a large number of technical innovations to the Hungarian Grand Prix. The main element will be the new MCL40 floor, as well as several other aerodynamic solutions that the team will test during free practice.

      Additionally, in the first practice session, McLaren will check the refined version of the experimental rear wing. Regardless of the results, the team currently does not plan to use this solution in the race in Hungary or at the Zandvoort stage.

      In the first practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Oscar Piastri will be replaced by Leonardo Fornaroli. This will be the second participation for the Italian driver in a practice session with McLaren.

      Randy Singh, Racing Director: "In Hungary, the team will face a completely different challenge, and this will be the last stage before the summer break. At the Hungaroring, it is necessary to set up the car for a high level of downforce. Additionally, braking efficiency and acceleration efficiency are important here.

      The combination of high temperatures, continuous turns, and a small number of straights makes effective tire management one of the key factors.

      As throughout the season, we will focus on maximizing the efficiency of the power unit's energy throughout the lap and understanding how the changed overtaking characteristics affect strategy.

      This weekend, we will also present a package of updates. In such a tight competition, every improvement is important, so it is crucial to gather as much information as possible about the performance of the new elements during practice.

      Our goal is to make the most of all opportunities, maintain positive momentum before the summer break, and create a solid foundation for the second half of the season."
