The current generation Nissan Z is an outstanding sports car that, for various reasons, many people are overlooking. Now, we can add another item to that list, as its starting price is increasing by a substantial $1,500 for 2027.
Nissan announced the price increase today, along with some updates and nostalgic elements for the new model year. Just take a look: the new color-matched trim around the grille looks fantastic, especially in the Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic. The design modifications to the bumper, which include replacing the Nissan logo with the Z badge and the 19-inch wheels featuring black spokes, truly emphasize the coupe’s elegant appeal without making it appear overly elaborate or attempting to be a race car.
If you’re seeking the race-car aesthetic, consider the Nismo variant, which now includes a six-speed manual transmission at no additional cost (when compared to the automatic Nismo). You can read the review of the Nismo manual here.
The revamped 2027 Z will be available in four trims and with either an automatic or manual transmission: Z Sport, Z Performance, Z Nismo AT, and Z Nismo Manual. The Z Sport starts at $45,725, which includes a destination charge of $1,245. The Nismo starts at $68,505, also including this charge. All trims now show a $1,510 price increase.
If you're considering a 2027 Z, particularly in one of the more sought-after colors, make sure to place your order soon, as we reported earlier this year that most dealers will only receive two to three units this year.
