Considering the circumstances of the incident that occurred in the qualifying final, the stewards of the Hungarian Grand Prix found Lewis Hamilton at fault. The stewards confirmed that Lewis inadvertently interfered with Oscar Piastri's fast lap, although he was unaware of the approaching car – the team did not inform him about it over the radio, and he did not see it in his mirrors as he was already in the turn, imposing the usual penalty of losing three places on the starting grid.
