Lewis Hamilton (2nd): "First of all, congratulations to Lando, he drove an excellent lap! We worked wonderfully throughout the weekend. During qualifying, I was confident in the car. For some reason, we were the first to go out for the crucial attempt, and I don't think that decision was right. Also, on the last lap, Charles and I somehow lacked grip on the track. We were the fastest in qualifying, so there’s a feeling of a missed victory. But right now, I’m not thinking about that. I don’t know if I interfered with anyone when I finished the lap. I will try to understand what happened; I didn’t know someone was behind me. I enjoy racing at the Hungaroring; today we were competitive, but tomorrow, I think, we will have a tough day ahead.
Charles Leclerc (3rd): "The wind changed quite a bit, and I didn’t take that into account when setting up the car. Compared to the morning session, I felt less comfortable, so qualifying was challenging for me. In the second part of qualifying, I was unlucky with the yellow flags; I tried to make up for lost time, but I couldn’t match Lewis's speed."
Frederic Vasseur, team principal: "Lewis may receive a penalty – we informed him too late that another car was approaching from behind, and he couldn’t do anything since he was already on the apex of the corner. If there is a penalty, our strategy won’t change, as Leclerc will move up one position and start second."
