Fernando Alonso: Today I could compete with my rivals.

      At Aston Martin, they positively assessed the race in Hungary, which was the first for the updated AMR26 car. Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll noted that for the first time in several weekends, they were able to compete with their rivals.

      Lance Stroll (13th): "I felt comfortable behind the wheel today – it's nice to be back in the fight during the race. Yes, we are still not in the positions we want to be in, so there is still work to do, but we are already in the fight.

      The more laps I drive in this car, the more speed I achieve from it. We received the most promising updates in a while, and we have many plans for the next stage in Zandvoort. It's nice to see that we are moving in the right direction."

      Fernando Alonso (14th): "This weekend we made a good step forward, so we now have a solid foundation to work on when we return after the summer break.

      The car was fast in the race, and I could compete with my rivals, which is great after several challenging weekends. We will continue to work and see how everything unfolds in Zandvoort, especially since we will have an updated Honda engine at the next stage."

      Adrian Newey, team principal and technical director: "It is clear that we made a promising first step forward with these updates, and the progress was made possible by the hard work of the entire team in Silverstone.
