Ferrari has another addition to the chassis development department.

      At Ferrari, the chassis development department has welcomed a new addition – "another" because last week we reported that Carlos Sanchez Martinez moved from Aston Martin to the Italian team. Not only he found employment in Maranello: Gazzetta dello Sport also reported that Luciano Nicomede, an experienced composite materials specialist who recently worked at Mercedes, joined the Scuderia. As is often the case with such personnel changes, the team made no official statements, but Nicomede's page on the business portal LinkedIn featured the following comment: "I am happy to share the news that I have started working at Ferrari as a senior composite materials designer in the chassis department. Joining Ferrari is a very important step in my career and a great opportunity to help a team known for its commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and high performance. I am ready to take on the challenges that await me in the future, I intend to grow professionally, and I will do my best to contribute to the team's success... A new chapter begins!" Like Martinez, Nicomede joined the chassis development department, which is led by Fabio Montecchi in Maranello. In his time, Luciano earned a degree in automotive engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin, then continued his education at a similar institution in Munich, where he studied composite materials, and also managed to study at the London School of Economics. He worked at Mercedes since July 2020, where as a composite materials design engineer, he was involved in designing the chassis safety cell, monitoring the emergence of structural anomalies, and was also responsible for optimizing the ergonomics of the driver's workspace. Luciano Nicomede's move to Ferrari is considered strategically important, as the Italian specialist is set to join the team of developers for the new chassis.
