Camara downplays increasing speculation about Haas.

      Rafael Camara has downplayed increasing speculation regarding Ferrari potentially placing him at Haas in 2027 as a substitute for Esteban Ocon. Given Ferrari’s influence over the American team, the 21-year-old Brazilian is seen as a strong contender, although other drivers have also been associated with Ocon’s precarious position.

      A member of the Ferrari academy since 2022, Camara has achieved four pole positions and two feature-race victories in his rookie season of Formula 2.

      “It’s nice to see," he commented to F2’s official website when asked about the Formula 1 talk. "You don’t really know at the moment, but it’s encouraging to have this, and to realize that the dream is within reach."

      "However, it’s important not to focus too much on that, as I'm still competing in a significant championship, and performing well will likely lead to an opportunity."

      “So, I’m concentrating solely on this year.” Camara has already had several opportunities to test Formula 1 cars for Ferrari.

      “Of course, the ultimate goal is to be in Formula 1 full time,” he stated. “But it was a very emotional experience at the time.

      "At the same time, it’s part of your profession. You try to make the most of it, but you also need to deliver strong results.”
