The racing helmet was sold at auction for a record amount.

At a charity auction, a racing helmet produced by the renowned company Bell Racing was sold for a record high amount, and this helmet has never been used by anyone in Formula 1. However, the value of the lot lay in something else: the helmet is associated with the charitable initiative Fuel the Magic, organized in collaboration with Walt Disney, with which Formula 1 officially announced a partnership in May 2025. To commemorate this, specialists at Bell Racing created a helmet designed with ideas from Bret Iwan, the American actor who has voiced the legendary Mickey Mouse since 2009, as well as Bobby Kim, head of the Disney Consumer Products division that produces the company's merchandise. The helmet was auctioned off for more than $201,000, which is more than was raised in 2023 for Max Verstappen's race suit (£112,000) and in 2022 for Alex Albon's helmet (£84,000). All proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish International charity, which operates in various countries around the world to treat children suffering from serious illnesses. During the July British Grand Prix, 20 drivers from the World Championship, including Lando Norris, Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and George Russell, signed the helmet. By the way, there are two copies of the helmet designed in this way – one was put up for auction, while the other will be displayed in California at the Ultimate Disney Fan Event festival starting August 14, where many fans of the company's film products will gather.
