      Still, he has hinted more than once that he does not intend to follow the example of Fernando Alonso, who is already 45, yet the Spanish Aston Martin driver is in no hurry to end his Formula 1 career.

      Jos Verstappen, Max's father, confirmed this in an interview with the French publication Auto Hebdo: "I don't think Max will still be racing in Formula 1 in ten years. And I hope that by then he will have already won the '24 Hours of Le Mans.'

      However, this is not so simple right now, as the "Balance of Performance" (a set of measures to level the playing field for teams) has intensified the competition in the World Endurance Championship. We'll see, but it will definitely be a real challenge. And I am sure he will continue to race, just not in Formula 1.

      Speaking of Max's personal qualities, he is a great guy, distinguished by a wonderful character. He is honest and does not tend to be unrealistic. He possesses all the qualities that I, as a father, could only dream of, and I am truly proud of him.
