Formula E announced a partnership with Sennheiser.
Audiophiles are well aware of the products from the German company Sennheiser electronic SE & Co. KG, which has a history spanning over eight decades. Audiophiles have long loved the headphones of this brand, musicians appreciate its microphones, but its product range is much broader – it includes professional wireless audio systems, conference equipment, and much more.
In December, the 14th season of Formula E will kick off, when the World Championship for electric car racing will switch to fourth-generation (GEN4) vehicles, and Sennheiser will provide comprehensive audio solutions – primarily systems that utilize the proprietary "immersion technology" known as AMBEO.
This technology allows for sound processing and high-precision reproduction of a three-dimensional audio landscape, significantly enhancing audience perception. As stated in the press release published today, the goal is for viewers of the Formula E race broadcasts to "feel a closer connection to the dynamic atmosphere of the races and their favorite teams, making it seem as if they are in the stands set up along the starting field."
Dan Cherubrier, Chief Technology Officer of Formula E: "Innovation and technology are the foundation of Formula E, and Sennheiser will be the perfect partner to fundamentally change the sound landscape of our championship."
