2025 vs 2026: Positions before the second part of the season
In 2025, before the summer break, the drivers held 14 Grands Prix, while this year there were only 11, so we decided to compare the results not by points scored, but by average finishing position and place in the individual standings. Sorting is by average position.
Antonelli's progress is evident - he leads the championship, while the second and sixth positions of Alpine indicate that Flavio Briatore is doing everything right. The progress of Racing Bulls is also impressive against last year's failures - the second driver of this team is not in the standings, as Arvid Lindblad did not compete in Formula 1 in 2025.
In the trio of relative underperformers of the first half of the season is Oscar Piastri, who led the championship a year ago, alongside drivers from Aston Martin and Williams.
