Günther Steiner does not believe in Valtteri Bottas.

      In the Red Flags podcast, former Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner compared the performances of two veterans – Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas in the Cadillac team driving the slowest car of the season...

      Guenther Steiner: "Sergio is performing better than his teammate. He is doing everything he can, even though he knows his car is the slowest. But what can he do about it? He and Valtteri are being judged by their efforts, they can't achieve more with this car, and in such a situation, it's very easy to lose motivation.

      Bottas looks noticeably worse in comparison. Perez is trying to achieve something, while Valtteri seems to have given up. If Cadillac decides to replace one of the drivers, it will be Valtteri.

      I think Bottas expected something different from his performances with Cadillac. Right now, it's as if he thinks to himself: 'Yes, I am driving a Formula 1 car, but I had a good job as a reserve driver at Mercedes. There I was out of the game, not participating in races, and now I have to give my all just to finish last.'"
