      🐆 Jaguar has unveiled the first images—though more accurately, renders—of the interior for the production version of the contentious Type 01 electric coupe. The interior design is rather minimalistic, featuring a large digital instrument cluster that spans half the dashboard, with a very compact central panel between the front seats for climate and media controls. The steering wheel includes ample controls, appearing to be capacitive rather than traditional buttons. The Type 01 will make its full debut in New York on October 6. [Jaguar]

      😈 Dodge CEO Matt McAlear is generating buzz about the GLH, an upcoming model that appears to be both a compact crossover, reminiscent of the short-lived Hornet, and a hot hatch. The specific body style isn't yet clear, but the executive stated, “We want to design a Dodge first, and we’re working on ideas that will differentiate it and make it unique in the market, along with features that will make it stand out.” Also, an SRT version is definitely in the pipeline.       💸 According to the New York Fed, auto loans in the U.S. hit a record $211 billion from April to June. When adjusted for inflation, the increase in borrowing for car purchases is lower than it was in 2021 during the pandemic. [Reuters]

      ↔️ Rivian is recalling nearly 4,000 R1S and R1T vehicles due to front turn signals that may malfunction. This recall may sound familiar as a similar one was issued last year. Apparently, Rivian’s supplier did not properly separate good replacement parts from defective ones, leading to the same issue resurfacing. [Autoblog]

      ⛽ Porsche will now align its emissions data for Europe with Xpeng, the Chinese EV manufacturer affiliated with Volkswagen Group, instead of Volkswagen Group itself, as it has traditionally done. This change is expected to help VW better meet its emissions targets and should also ease the process for Porsche since Xpeng exclusively produces EVs. [Automotive News]

      📦 General Motors plans to mitigate future supply chain disruptions by partnering with a third-party company, Procura Auto Parts, to manage the purchasing of specific components from suppliers and oversee inventory. [Reuters]
