Participant of the Red Bull youth program Nikola Tsolov is having an excellent debut season in Formula 2, having secured six victories, leading the individual standings, and being close to the championship title. Many believe that the 19-year-old Bulgarian is ready for Formula 1, and he is considered a contender for Liam Lawson's seat at Racing Bulls. The decision will be aided by tests taking place in Imola, where on August 27, Tsolov will sit behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car for the first time – it will be last year's VCARB02. The main drivers – Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad – will also come to Imola, where the team will conduct its last filming day of the season with VCARB03. The tests will allow Tsolov to accumulate the necessary points for a super license to participate in Friday practice sessions.
