Formula E: Porsche drivers start from the front row
Porsche drivers occupied the entire front row after Saturday's qualifying on the first day of the London season finale. This is only the second time in the history of the factory team's performances for the German company in Formula E that this has happened, with the first occurrence being last year in Mexico.
The best time was set by Pascal Wehrlein, one of the main contenders for the title. He outpaced his teammate Nico Müller by over a second.
Mitch Evans, another favorite of the electric series, will start from the 3rd position. Following the previous stages of the season, he was in 2nd place in the individual standings with 144 points, just three points ahead of Wehrlein. However, due to today's achievement, Pascal received three bonus points, thus leveling his score with the New Zealand Jaguar driver.
Leading the World Championship for electric car racing is Jake Dennis, competing for Andretti, who will start from the 5th position. His advantage over Wehrlein and Evans is just two points. However, starting from the 4th position in the first race of the London weekend will be another Briton – Dan Ticktum, a driver for the Cupra Kiro team, known for his aggressive racing style.
Unlike Dennis and everyone starting ahead, Ticktum has nothing to lose, so he certainly won't hold back, promising a very interesting development of events.
