Antonelli leads the driver rankings, while Stroll is in last place.

Championship leader Kimi Antonelli has secured the top spot in Auto Motor und Sport’s mid-season driver ranking, while Lance Stroll was deemed the weakest among the 22 Formula 1 drivers. Antonelli achieved an average rating of 8.64 out of 10 after winning six of the first eleven races and easily outpacing Mercedes teammate George Russell. Max Verstappen took second place with a score of 8.27, despite facing challenges with Red Bull’s difficult car in the first half of the season. The four-time world champion consistently scored 7/10 or higher in the opening eleven weekends and leads Isack Hadjar 8-3 in qualifying.

Reigning champion Lando Norris placed third with a score of 8.09 after winning in Hungary, followed closely by Lewis Hamilton at 8.00. Hamilton has achieved five podium finishes and a victory in Barcelona, while Russell rounded out the top five with a score of 7.73 after two wins but faced a tougher time alongside Antonelli.

At the lower end of the rankings, Esteban Ocon was rated 19th with a score of 5.91 after losing both the championship and qualifying battles to his Haas teammate Oliver Bearman, putting his F1 career in jeopardy. Alexander Albon ranked 20th with a score of 5.64, which included a 4/10 rating following his collision with Bearman at Silverstone. Cadillac’s Valtteri Bottas was 21st with a score of 5.45 after finishing only six of the eleven Grands Prix.

Bringing up the rear was Stroll with a score of 5.18, having completed just four races during Aston Martin’s difficult first half of the season. "In our rankings, Stroll is therefore the weakest driver in the field," wrote Auto Motor und Sport. "However, only Aston Martin owner Lawrence Stroll will determine if his son faces the risk of being relegated."
