Dutch Grand Prix: Changes to the track and overtaking zone

Before the start of the weekend in Zandvoort, the FIA announced changes to the track and confirmed the locations of the activation zones for the Overtake Mode (OT) and Straight Mode (SM).

The changes are minor. The bumps before the first turn have been removed, the curb in the eighth turn has become more gradual, and a blue line has been added at the apex of the 11th turn and at the exit of the 12th turn for those exiting the pit lane. Several new light panels have been installed.

On the Dutch track, there is one zone with Overtake Mode. The detection point for this zone is located ten meters before the 13th turn. Being within one second behind an opponent's car at the detection point, the driver will be able to activate Overtake Mode, receiving an additional 0.5 MJ of electrical energy 45 meters after entering the 14th turn.

Active aerodynamics can be used in two Straight Mode (SM) zones.

The first SM zone on a dry track starts 20 meters after the 14th turn (80 meters in the rain).

The second SM zone on a dry track starts 50 meters after the 10th turn (120 meters in the rain).
