Robert Wood Johnson acquired shares of Aston Martin.

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom Robert Wood Johnson has acquired a minority stake in Aston Martin and joined the team's board of directors as vice chairman. Johnson will focus on the commercial development of Aston Martin, primarily in the U.S., but will not be involved in the day-to-day management of the team. Control of the company remains with executive chairman and principal owner Lawrence Stroll. Johnson has previously been involved in investments in sports projects, including those related to the NFL and the English Premier League. Lawrence Stroll: "I am pleased to welcome Woody to the Aston Martin family. His experience, passion, and investments will further strengthen our position in the next phase of the team's development. His deep understanding of our brand, commitment to innovation, and willingness to seize new commercial opportunities make him the ideal partner with whom we can look to the future." Robert Wood Johnson: "During my time as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, I developed a deep respect for Aston Martin's rich history, as well as for Lawrence Stroll's strategic vision and entrepreneurial spirit. I am excited to begin working with him and contribute to the further development of the team, aiming to create a group capable of competing for the highest results in Formula 1. We also aim to expand our audience in the U.S. and introduce more American fans to Formula 1."
