Max Verstappen: Changing the settings didn't help
Red Bull Racing drivers Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson qualified in the fourth row in Zandvoort. For the four-time world champion, seventh place is the worst starting position at his home track. Max mentioned that changing the car settings after the sprint did not help.
Max Verstappen (7th): "We changed the settings a bit after the sprint, but it didn't lead to anything. The balance remained almost the same as it was throughout the weekend. Because of this, I didn't feel comfortable in the car and couldn't attack at full strength.
I don't know what to expect in the race. It's hard to predict anything when the car lacks pace. We'll try to race at our own rhythm and see if the result will be positive or not."
Liam Lawson (8th): "Actually, everything is good. Compared to yesterday, we managed to improve and put all the components together. Of course, we expected more from the car, but my only benchmark at the moment is Max, and throughout the weekend, I've been trying to close the gap to him.
I had a good lap in qualifying, so I'm satisfied in that regard. Tomorrow, we need to try to at least maintain these positions."
