Domenicali is confident that the races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi will take place.
The President and CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, is confident that the events in the Middle East will not hinder the holding of the two final stages of the season in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. During the stage in Zandvoort, Domenicali stated that all remaining races this year should go ahead as scheduled.
Stefano Domenicali: "A lot is happening in Formula 1 right now. After the stage in Zandvoort, we have Monza coming up – there will be an incredible number of fans and a crazy atmosphere. Then we will arrive at the new track in Madrid. It’s a beautiful city where a race will take place for the first time in many years.
After that, as you know, we will head to Malaysia, where the Bahrain Grand Prix will take place this year. I can share some great news – the grandstand seats in Sepang are already completely sold out. Now tickets without reserved seats will go on sale.
Just think, in just a few weeks, we managed to sell out tickets in a market where Formula 1 hasn't been since 2017. This is an incredible achievement and the result of our joint efforts. I am very pleased with this.
At the same time, we are already preparing for the upcoming races. The calendar is approved, and I am confident that Las Vegas will once again become a unique place with an incredible atmosphere.
As I said, the calendar is set, and tickets for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix are still available for sale. Overall, everything is progressing well, and we continue to work on holding all the stages we promised at the beginning of the year."
