Gasly: We have become more competitive thanks to the new developments.

Pierre Gasly earned one point for Alpine in the Sunday race in Zandvoort, finishing tenth. His teammate Franco Colapinto received a 10-second penalty for overtaking Yuki Tsunoda under double yellow flags and penalty points, finishing the race fourteenth.

Pierre Gasly (10th): "I am disappointed with the race results, although the start was good, but you need a good start when you start 11th. I managed to move up to 9th position and avoid a collision with Max Verstappen in the last corner.

On the restart after the red flags, I managed to hold onto 8th place, but after that, the race was difficult and chaotic. It is clear that the Racing Bulls are our direct competitors, and they had a plan to maximize their race while hindering us. This was expected, but it was still frustrating to race behind them! The season is long, and I will remember this.

The battle in the Constructors' Championship is in full swing, and I am glad that this weekend, thanks to the updates, we became more competitive and were able to earn points. We have a lot to analyze from this round, but I am already looking forward to the race in Monza and continuing the fight on track."

Franco Colapinto (14th): "A tough race for us, which became even more complicated due to the penalty received for the incident on the first lap.

I had a good start, overtook four cars, and was in contention for points. It seemed that the race was going well, but then the penalty dashed all plans. I believe the penalty was too harsh, but we will analyze everything and draw conclusions.

After the race, it was difficult – we lacked grip on the track, which affected our pace. In the end, I finished in the same position I started from. Positive outcomes include Pierre's tenth place and the point earned on the updated car.

In Monza, I will receive the same updates, so I am looking forward to the opportunity to compete with them and fight for points."
