The FIA responded to the sponsor's claims against Colapinto.

After the finish of the Dutch Grand Prix, Franco Colapinto and his main sponsor Mercado Libre criticized the decisions of the FIA stewards, who penalized the Argentine Alpine driver for overtaking Yuki Tsunoda under double yellow flags. In particular, Mercado Libre's marketing director Sean Summers wrote the following: "The stewards' decisions undermine the integrity of Formula 1. This season they are proving that they are acting improperly and affecting race results. Incompetence? Dishonesty? Both? There is clearly something wrong with the culture of this organization." Such words did not go unnoticed, and today the FIA published an official response: "After the Dutch Grand Prix, the FIA stewards were subjected to insults and online harassment after applying sporting sanctions in accordance with the FIA regulations. The coalition United Against Online Abuse condemns any forms of insults and harassment. Disagreement with decisions is part of the sport, but it can in no way justify threats or personal attacks. In 2023, the FIA created the coalition United Against Online Abuse after one of the stewards was targeted with harassment following the US Grand Prix. We urge everyone connected to our sport to maintain respect and responsibility both online and offline."
