Tsunoda invites F1 teams - 'Reach out to me'

"I believe I gave it my all."

Yuki Tsunoda has taken advantage of his unexpected return to the grid at Zandvoort to promote himself to Formula 1 teams that are still contemplating their rosters for 2027. The Japanese driver had been rumored to be moving to IndyCar even prior to Isack Hadjar’s injury, which opened up a temporary seat with Racing Bulls. Additionally, Haas and Alpine have been mentioned, despite the limited number of obvious vacancies in F1.

Tsunoda feels he adjusted remarkably well, considering he had only raced four times in the past eight months since Abu Dhabi. "Thanks to Red Bull, the team kept me in shape with the simulator and other resources. Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience."

"I feel I gave it 100 percent, as much as I could at this point. I think I performed quite well." Tsunoda believes this weekend will bolster his prospects as his management seeks options for the next season. "I think overall it was a positive weekend, and the level I demonstrated can also be seen as positive," stated the 26-year-old.

"Ultimately, it's up to my manager and the other teams that haven't yet decided on their drivers for next season—whether they want to take me on." "And they should! They should reach out to me!"
